I’ve been interested in the weather for as long as I can remember.

Born and raised in Florida, I had my own rain gauge in our backyard when I was little and would track every tropical system on my laminated map each hurricane season. (Yes, I am a nerd.) Every research paper or science project I did in school had to do with some sort of weather phenomenon so it only made sense for me to major in Meteorology when I went to college.

I attended Florida State University (Go ‘Noles!) for four years in Tallahassee and it was there that I first discovered that I had an interest in being on-air. What started out as an elective course about “weathercasting” turned into hours and hours spent in the basement of the meteorology building on campus with the “4 FSU Weather Show”.

After graduating with my degree, I worked for the Florida Division of Emergency Management. While I learned a lot about weather safety and community outreach, I knew that I wanted to be able to explain it to people in person, on camera. And here I am!

I spent the first chapter of my on-air career at a small 24 hour TV station in Sarasota, FL doing everything from covering summertime thunderstorms to tracking tropical systems and tornadoes. Now it's time for the next chapter of my story to unfold here at WBIR and I can't wait to discover all of the amazing things that eastern Tennessee has in store for me!
