Here's what is happening this weekend in East Tennessee

Farragut High School will host "World Cultures Night" Thursday. There will be food, dancers, a photo booth and more. It lasts from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the High School Commons area.

The University of Tennessee Homecoming Parade is Friday. The parade will start at Circle Park on campus-- before turning onto Cumberland Avenue. The streets will close to traffic at 3:30 p.m., and the parade starts at 4 p.m.

It's the First Friday of the month. Head downtown to enjoy shops, restaurants and lots of live entertainment. All the fun starts at 5 p.m.

The Bearden Village Council will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday at Everly Brothers Park. There will be refreshments and a performance by the West High School Chorus. The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Vols will play Southern Miss for the Homecoming Game on Saturday. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. in Neyland Stadium.

The "Furry Fall Festival" is Sunday at Young Williams Animal Center. There will be face-painting, inflatables, animal-themed arts and crafts and more. The event also includes rabies vaccinations and microchips for $10. The festival starts at noon. Admission is free

The Knoxville Choral Society will perform its Fall Choral Masterworks Concert on Sunday. The show starts at 6 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. You can find more information at tennesseetheatre.com.

The Knoxville Children's Theatre will perform "The Crucible" all weekend. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12.
