New home for established center that helps people with disabilities

The Emory Valley Center is now housed in the new Caldwell-Thompson Building in Oak Ridge.

In 1955, parents of intellectually disabled children started an organization that would evolve into the Emory Valley Center. Sixty two years later they are in a new building named the Caldwell-Thompson Building.

Fundraising started in 2008 to find a new home and today the Emory Valley Center is housed across the street from the original building in Oak Ridge.

Emory Valley Center's goal is to continue to empower the people who receive support from the Center in making choices about how they live their lives within our community.

Transportation is provided to all adults supported by Emory Valley Center for medical appointments, community & volunteer activities and getting to and from jobs.
