1 cup granulated sugar

3 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup softened butter

1 large egg

4 peaches

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Whisk together sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl.

Pinch the softened butter into the flour mixture until it looks crumbly.

Whisk the egg in a small bowl until whites and yolk combine then fold into the flour mixture.

Spray a 9 x 13 cake pan and press 3/4 of the crumbly mixture into the pan evenly.

Slice peaches very thin and place in pan, leaving about 1/2 inch border around the edges.

Sprinkle remaining crumbs over the top of the peaches.

If you would like, you can sprinkle a little more sugar on top for fun.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, until edges a crisp and golden.

Cut into squares.
