Ingredients:
1 cup + 3 tablespoons plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon mace
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter - melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Topping Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups very hot water

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl stir together flour, baking powder, salt, 3/4 cup sugar, & spices. Set aside. In a smaller bowl stir together pumpkin, butter, milk, & vanilla. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix well. Spoon into an 8 x 8 pan. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar & 1 cup pecans together and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over the entire thing (don't stir!!) and bake for 45 minutes. Cool for 5 - 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
