Knoxville's inaugural film fest kicked off Thursday at the Downtown West Cinema.

The Dogwood Arts, Regal Cinemas, and Secret City Films have teamed up for the Knoxville Film Fest.

The four-day festival will feature 75 independent films including feature films, documentaries, and short films. The festival also features a student competition and a seven-day shoot. Twenty-five teams will get seven days to make a seven-minute movie.

Tickets are available for purchase at knoxvillefilmfestival.com and at Downtown West Regal Cinema 8 during the festival. Please keep in mind that there are limited numbers of all tickets available.
