(WBIR) Just days after Hugo Canada's first birthday, doctors found a tumor on his kidney, and he was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer. He is now undergoing treatment at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.

His mother Marianne, who hosts Crafternoons on HGTV.com, has been a guest on Mornings with Fox 43 for several years. Like many of our regular guests, Marianne has become part of our newsroom family.

This will be a long, difficult journey not only Hugo but for Marianne, her husband Chris, and their daughter Lulu as well. You may have heard of Chris. He's a career musician, teaches music, and is a member of the popular local band, The Coveralls.

Now, people are raising support for the family financially. A family friend has created a #GoHugo bumper magnet. You can buy the magnets here.

Also, the lead drummer in The Coveralls is putting together a Go Hugo Benefit Show at The Bijou. The show will feature three bands, a raffle and catering from Holly's Eventful Dining. Proceeds from the night will go to offset Hugo's medical bills.

Since the family started posting updates on Hugo on social media, people across the country are showing their support.

A Facebook group, dedicated to the little boy, called "Go Hugo" is covered with inspirational messages, which Marianne says has boosted her family's spirits. Click here to send your prayers and support to the family.

Other than the emotional toll, the family will be burdened with medical bills and other expenses, so an online campaign has been created to help the family cover the costs. Click here if you would like to donate.
