A Wisconsin-based wet wipe manufacturing company announced its plans on Thursday morning to bring a new plant to Morristown.
Rockline Industries said its investing $40 million and adding 250 jobs. The company makes disposable products, including everything from wet wipes to coffee filters.
Governor Haslam was among several city and state leaders on hand for the announcement.
Morristown Mayor Gary Chesney said economic incentives and the city's job training center, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, helped to attract the company,
The governor praised Morristown for maintaining a strong workforce.
"For all those people that think all the jobs have gone somewhere else in terms of manufacturing, it's not true. We've led the country in manufacturing job growth in the last several years, and we can continue to do that," Haslam said.
Rockline's CEO said it will take at least a year of renovation before the facility is ready.
