Girl battling rare tumor gets surprise call from Guy Fieri

Addie loves Food Network and Guy Fieri, so it was a pretty special day when she got to help do a TV cooking segment, and talk to her favorite star!

A little East Tennessee girl battling a terrible illness got a sweet surprise on 10News at Noon on Tuesday.

Addie Mae Underhill was diagnosed last year with a rare and aggressive type of brain tumor called Diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas, or DIPG. Doctors say the 7-year-old's prognosis is not good.

As her treatment continues, her parents and community are focused on letting Addie live life to the fullest.

Addie loves watching cooking shows on television, so regular noon show cooking guest Melissa Graves invited Addie to join her to make something on our noon show.

But that wasn't all!

Friends managed to reach out to Food Network star Guy Fieri, who surprised Addie with a Facetime call during the show!

Addie was so excited, she was trembling and giggling as she had a short conversation with one of her all-time favorite TV stars. We didn't listen in on their whole conversation, but the two mostly talked about cooking and favorite foods.

Judging from the smile on Addie's face the entire time---- it's safe to say their chat went very well!
