One dead, two hurt after dozens of gunshots ring out in Powell

Witnesses claimed they heard 30 to 40 gunshots while driving and saw people running into the gas station.

UPDATE: The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the two people injured in a shooting in the Powell community around midnight Sunday have been released from the hospital.

KCSO said 32-year-old Randy Shelton shot himself and was found in a pond in front of 2535 Old Callahan Road.

Witnesses told KCSO the shooting came after an argument earlier in the evening between Shelton and his friends and the occupants of the house.
