An affidavit obtained by WCYB News 5 in the Tri-Cities said Randolph admitted to taking methamphetamine prior to boiling the water for her child's bath on Sunday at her home located in the 1600 block of Fodder Stack Mountain Loop.

"(Randolph) stated that she could not get the water hot so she boiled a pot of hot water to in the tub," the report said.

The child received second-degree burns on her body and Randolph took the girl to a local hospital for treatment.

Randolph is being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court on April 2.
