Authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered Monday morning in the Clear Fork River in Whitley County, Ky.
Sheriff Colan J. Harrell said they were found by a resident around 9:20 a.m.
The body was found near an area where a person was reported missing, but Harrell said there is not enough evidence to connect the two cases.
The body has been sent for an autopsy.
Anyone with information about the investigations is asked to contact the Whitley County Sheriff's Department at 606-549-6006.
