A Jefferson City man has been indicted on two counts of aggravated assault in connection to a December officer-involved shooting.
A Jefferson County grand jury indicted 56-year-old James Rose on two counts of aggravated assault.
According to the TBI, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance at a home on Cora Road in Jefferson City on Dec. 23, 2016. When deputies arrived, they found one person had been cut with a knife. When deputies entered the house, they said Rose came at them with a knife.
One deputy fired shots at Rose, and he was hit by at least one gunshot.
Rose was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
The TBI was called in to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
Rose was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Tuesday on a $30,000 bond.
