The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is searching for an inmate who escaped from their custody Friday night.

Deputies say Jeremy Ryan Archer escaped from the Jefferson County Work House in Industrial Park Road in Dandridge, Tennessee. Archer, who was being held in an isolated cell, was being escorted to the bathroom when he bolted, opened a door, jumped the fence behind the building and ran.

Archer was serving time for violating probation on previous charges including burglary, theft and vandalism. Officials describe him as 6' 1", skinny and bald. They say he has tattoos on his face, neck and body.
