A Maryville man has been arrested after investigators said he barricaded himself in a Blount County home for six hours Tuesday.

Austin Lynn Dixon, 22, had access to a weapon and was wanted on several felony warrants at the time of the standoff on Wildwood Road in Maryville. Wildwood Road is off E. Broadway Avenue.

At about 5 p.m., officials said they tried to serve those warrants and Dixon refused to come out of the home. At 11 p.m., a sheriff's office K-9 team entered the crawl space of the home and arrested Dixon. No one else was inside.

The sheriff's office said Dixon will be served with multiple warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and similar charges stemming from a home invasion on Mentor Road that occurred several days ago.
