TBI recovers body of person of interest in Obion County double homicide

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (Jan. 30, 8 p.m.): Officials with the Tennessee Burea of Investigation said that the body of David Vowell was recovered Saturday afternoon.

He was found around 3 p.m. in Reelfoot Lake, in West Tennessee. It was near the area of the incident being investigated, officials said.

His identity has been confirmed and investigators will perform an autopsy on the body.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Special Agents are trying to locate a person of interest in a double homicide investigation in Obion County.  

The incident was reported on Reelfoot Lake Monday morning.

According to TBI, David Vowell, 70, of Martin, is considered armed and dangerous.  

The fatal victims in the case were identified as Chance Black and Zachery Grooms, both of Weakley County, TBI said.
