KPD investigators believe at least one suspect is linked to a deadly shooting that happened on Baker Avenue Sunday night.

Knoxville police took two people into custody in the murder of a 27-year-old South Knoxville man last Sunday.

Police said they took Phillip Jerome Locke into custody to be interviewed by investigators. Locke was also served with an outstanding violation of parole warrant and is being held without bond. He is not facing charges in the homicide at this time.

Shaniquia Robinson is suspected of driving the car that led officers on a chase down I-40 and I-640 around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

The vehicle was stopped on Divide Street where both her and Locke were taken into custody. She is facing charges of Felony Evading Arrest, Driving on a Suspended License and Failure to Exercise Due Care.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, 27-year-old Diondus Billings died from at least one gunshot wound before they arrived to a call about a man lying on the roadway in the 900 block of Baker Avenue.
