UPDATE: The suspect in a West Knoxville bank robbery on April 4 has been captured by the FBI.

The FBI Knoxville office said Douglar Armel Jr., of Virginia, was arrested Wednesday. 

PREVIOUS STORY: Authorities with the Knoxville FBI office are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville Tuesday evening. 

Around 5 p.m., a white male entered the U.S. Bank at 8845 Kingston Pike and demanded money with a note. According to the FBI, the man took an undisclosed amount of money from the bank and fled in a white, four-door sedan. 

The suspect is described as a white male, with collar-length gray hair, approximately six-foot tall, weighing 250 pounds and estimated to be 45-55 years old. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored sweatpants, white sneakers, glasses and a dark colored knit hat. 

The Knox County Sheriff's Office, the Knoxville Police Department and the Blount County Sheriff's Office are assisting with the investigation.
