Local farmers step up to feed community

Right now, the next Winter Farmer's Market is scheduled for April 4th.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Looking for some fresh foods? Local farmers are trying to help!

The Winters Farmer's Market moved outside Central United Methodist Church amid the concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

Vendors had extra space, and there were extra hand-washing stations.

People came to buy fresh veggies, as well as hot meals and local honey.

One farmer said his family has had a farm in Lenoir City for more than 100 years.

Now he's thankful customers are giving local farmers a chance to sell their products.

Right now, the next Winter Farmer's Market is scheduled for April 4th.
