Well, Friday is the day to try, it's National Day of Unplugging!

It’s an all too familiar scene, cell phones tightly gripped, eyes glued on the screen, other times to our ears.

It’s hard to imagine life without our electronic device, but there’s a new pledge challenging folks to disconnect from their gadgets, and connect with real people instead.

It’s called, National Day of Unplugging, and the project comes from the “Sabbath Manifesto” – which is a modern spin on the tradition of a weekly day of rest.

The challenge starts March 9 and ends on the 10, from sundown to sundown, and for 24 hours, all you must do is cut the cord, and unplug.

Whether you decide to take the challenge, or not, here are a few reasons why some researchers say it might be worth it.

Unplugging, could better your health by lowering your stress levels, so you can decompress, and recharge the natural way.

It could also better your relationships, by linking you together, without all the screen fuss.
