(WBIR) Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested three people Thursday after discovering a meth making operation while responding to a domestic matter at a South Knox County home.

Authorities charged David Richards, 38, Frederick Young, 29, and Stacy Guinn with the initiation and process of methamphetamine and promotion/manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to KCSO, Richards lists the house where the meth making operation was found as his address.

Deputies made the discovery while accompanying Richard's mom Thursday afternoon to that home on the 3000 block of Old Maryville Pike.

She told officers she was afraid to go alone to her house to get her things because Richards had threatened to kill her.

When they got to the house, KCSO said deputies noticed a strong chemical odor and saw a cooking pot for methamphetamine.

Investigators found more meth making materials including dozens of empty pseudoephedrine blister packs, 100 lithium battery strips, and ammonia nitrate.

The two men and one woman each have previous charges.
