Maryville — Blount County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested two men for burglarizing a building in Louisville Friday afternoon.

Blount County Sheriff Lee Berrong says Skyler Lujack McTaggart, 28, and Paul Franklin Eugene Reno, 24, are in the Blount County Corrections Facility.

McTaggert told deputies he wanted scrap metal and a metal wagon from the building on Airline Drive in Louisville because it looked "old" and he wanted to be featured on the History Channel, according to the sheriff.

Deputies originally responded to the vacant residence on a call of a suspicious person at that location.

When deputies arrived, they witnessed Reno walking from an outbuilding on the property carrying several metal scrap items.

The sheriff says deputies then saw McTaggart in the backyard with several scrap metal items.

That's when he explained why he was there.

Reno admitted he had previously taken items from the property, and he said that because it didn’t have a “no trespass” sign posted, he should be able to take whatever he wants.

Deputies also recovered several other items from inside Reno’s vehicle.

The sheriff says they're charged with burglary of a building.

In addition, McTaggart is charged with violation of probation, and Reno is also charged with public intoxication. McTaggart is being held on bonds totaling $8,000, and Reno is being held on bonds totaling $7,500. McTaggart and Reno will both face their charges in Blount County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. August 22, 2018.
