The stars shone through in Knoxville Saturday night as local personalities danced to raise a lot of money.

Star 102.1's "Dancing with the Stars" event features ten local celebrities performing a variety of dances with professional partners. More than 750 people came out to support the dance-off, which will benefit the East Tennessee Children's Hospital.

By the end of the night, the event had raised more than $184,000 for ETCH. That set a personal record in the process, beating last year's donation total by more than $20,000 dollars.

Erica Estep with ETCH said that money will go to good use here in East Tennessee.

"The best news, though, is the money will stay local and help a child in the hospital right here in our own backyard. The money this year will be used for new equipment in the neonatal care unit," Estep said.

WBIR 10News anchor Katie Roach showed off her baton and dance skills Saturday night.

Artist and philantropist Nazzy Hashemian raised a whopping $75,000 for the hospital, earning her the win for most money raised Saturday.

WATE 6 meteorologist Trent Magill wowed the judges this year, sealing his title as best dancer of the night.
