Investigators are looking into what started a fire on the University of Tennessee campus on Wednesday morning.

The Knoxville Fire Department said no animals were injured when firefighters were called to the UT Veterinarian Hospital around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Crews saw smoke coming from the building upon arrival. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the first floor laundry room fire. Crews contained the fire to the laundry room.

The state of Tennessee will investigate the cause of the fire because of the location of the fire as a university property.
