The University of Tennessee announced a new policy to protect students and faculty from sexual misconduct and relationship violence.

In an email to students, UT chancellor Jimmy Cheek said an interim policy took effect Thursday as the university works on a permanent version. The policy outlines prohibited behaviors and ways to report sexual abuse on campus.
