It's almost like a football Friday in Knoxville. All across East Tennessee, people are dressed in their best game day orange to honor legendary Lady Vol coach Pat Summitt.

Local organization Knoxville Pays It Forward organized the "orange out" Friday to show support for Summitt after her death on Tuesday. The move gained support on social media.

Information about the "turn the world orange" event is being shared on a Facebook page hosted by Knoxville Pays It Forward.

"Let's once again show the world what a class act she is and will always be," the Facebook post reads.

Summitt's family released news Sunday that the past few days had been difficult for her and they were asking for prayers. Summitt died on Tuesday.

Summitt revealed publicly that she had been diagnosed with early onset dementia, Alzheimer's type, on August 22, 2011.
