It's the holiday season, and many of you are already planning for upcoming Christmas parties.
One item on most lists: an ugly sweater.
Goodwill will host an ugly sweater workshop at Ijams Nature Center Tuesday night. For the past 2 years, Goodwill has hosted ugly sweater classes in the community to spread holiday cheer.
All the proceeds from Tuesday's workshop will go to supporting Goodwill's vocational training and employment services.
It costs $15 to participate. The registration fee includes a sweater and all the decorations and instruction needed to assemble a one-of-a-kind creation.
If you missed out, a Goodwill will hold another on Thursday at the Bearden Beer Market at 6 p.m. Bearden Beer Market is donating $1 from every pint sold to benefit Goodwill's job training programs.
Blount County residents can visit the Alcoa Goodwill after hours for a special workshop on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
Once you've created your masterpiece, Goodwill wants you to enter its tackiest Goodwill holiday sweater in the Share Your Sweater photo contest. One lucky winner will receive a $50 Goodwill gift certificate. To enter to the Share Your Sweater contest, participants may submit their entry in any of the following ways:
