An animal rescue group in Pennsylvania is working to save a group of horses that survived a crash in Knoxville.
According to Omega Horse Rescue, based in York County, the horses were being transported to a slaughterhouse when the accident happened on Sunday.
There were thirty horses on the trailer, and ten of them died from their injuries.
To keep the surviving horses from their fate at the slaughterhouse, the horse rescue paid $13,000 to buy them, and is hoping people will step in to help them with cash donations and fostering.
The horses were transported to Brandywine Veterinary Services in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, where they are being treated. Most of them suffered cuts and bruises.
You can get more information about the rescue and how to donate at the Omega Horse Rescue Facebook page.
