Hancock Co. authorities put car fire out after it runs into building, breaks gas line

Tony Seal with the Hancock County Volunteer Rescue Squad confirmed with 10News that a car ran into a building in Downtown Sneedville Sunday evening, breaking a gas line and causing a large fire.

A car ran into a building and broke a gas line causing a massive blaze Sunday evening in Downtown Sneedville Hancock County Volunteer Rescue Squad's Captain Tony Seal told 10News.

Seal said the car ran into a building on Livesay Street in Downtown Sneedville around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Sneedville Fire Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol were also on the scene. Fire crews worked to put out the flames for several hours after the call came down.

Seal said THP troopers checked to see if anyone was inside the building, but no one appeared to be at the scene even after the rescue squad arrived.
