The Knoxville Fire Department called off a search at Fort Dickerson Quarry after receiving a report that a person had jumped from a high cliff.

The department said it was unable to confirm with bystanders that there was actually a jumper at the quarry.

Rescue crews were called out around 7:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a person went missing after jumping 80 feet into the water.

Crews took boats out into the quarry to search for a potential victim, but found nothing with sonar equipment.
