1/2 cup ghee or clarified butter

2 cups besan or chik pea flour

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tsp milk

1 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 cup chopped almonds


In a skillet toast besan with ghee until golden brown. Use low heat and keep stirring constantly. Do not burn. This will take 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and add sugar and milk and mix well. Set aside until cool enough to knead thoroughly. Add cardamom powder and almonds and mix well. Roll into ball and garnish with almond powder.
