(WBIR) The family of a woman killed by an impaired driver last July in Blount County have teamed up with law enforcement and several agencies to host a sobriety checkpoint in her memory.

Dean Key died after an impaired driver hit her car on Highway 321 on July 13, 2013.

Key's daughter, Jennifer, said she hopes this effort will prevent other families from going through this nightmare. On Saturday, Key's family will share what happened to them and encourage people not to drive while impaired. That event will be at the Parkway Drive-In at 2909 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville at 1 p.m.

The sobriety checkpoint will follow Saturday evening.
