A business in New Market was completely destroyed by fire Thursday morning.

New Market Fire Department Capt. Sammy Solomon said eight fire departments were called in to help with the fire at Cedar Rock Farm. Solomon estimated there were around 100 firefighters involved in fighting the flames.

The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. Solomon said they cleared the scene shortly before 10:30 a.m. He said they used over 80,000 gallons of water, but the building was a complete loss.

Solomon said they've haven't officially determined the cause of the fire, but they suspect it was electrical.

Cedar Rock Farm, located at 1610 Rocky Valley Rd., is a business that makes cedar chips that are used in things like animal cages and pens.
