No one was hurt after a gas tank explosion caused a fire at a market in south Knox County.

Dispatchers said the report of the explosion came in Friday afternoon at 7512 Sevierville Pike, which is the Korner Market.

The Seymour Fire Department Chief said part of the tank was found a quarter of a mile away.

Steve Howell, who owns nearby S&L Automotives, saw what happened and captured video of it on his cell phone. Howell told 10News that workers were taking out old fuel tanks when one of them ignited.

An explosion at the Korner Market in South Knox County damaged the store, but thankfully no one was hurt.

No one was hurt, but Howell said he thought there was some damage to the building.

Witnesses inside the market at the time of the incident shared photos showing damage to the building, including blown out windows.

Rural/Metro and the Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to the fire. One block of Sevierville Pike was closed.
