Knoxville police are investigating a Thanksgiving Day shooting that wounded one man.
Officials responded to a call in the 3300 block of Lay Avenue at 11:47 a.m. Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers found Mikhail Gadson, 21, with a gunshot wound to his shin. Gadson told police that he was shot by a passing vehicle while standing in front of his house.
A witness reported seeing a small red car quickly leave the area.
Gadson was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center.
