(Jan. 15, 2014) A spokesperson for Pilot Flying J said Wednesday that the company has paid back most of its customers who were owed money in a fuel rebate program.
In a news release, Pilot says it's paid out any potential discrepancy plus six percent interest to 95% of its customers.
Federal investigators raided Pilot Flying J last April as part of an investigation into claims that it withheld money owed to trucking companies in a fuel rebate program.
Pilot says its internal auditors continue to evaluate customer accounts and customers can choose to have a third-party independent auditor review their records for free.
