Preliminary hearing Thursday for bus driver in fatal crash

The driver charged in the Chattanooga school bus crash that killed six children is due back in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.

Johnthony Walker, 24, is charged with six counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving in the school bus crash that killed also injured several more Woodmore Elementary students.

Lawyer Amanda Dunn says the accident has been devastating for Walker and his family. Dunn hoped for a quick investigation and respect for the privacy of Walker's family.

Federal authorities say Walker left the designated bus route Nov. 21 when he wrecked on a curvy road while carrying 37 children. Authorities suspect Walker was speeding.
