Six people suffering minor injuries and were sent to the hospital when a race truck hit the track wall at Newport Speedway on Saturday.
The speedway posted on it's Facebook page this afternoon that none of the six had life-threatening injuries.
According to the speedway, a truck lost control after the throttle got stuck and hit the side of a wall. It hit enough force to propel on the catch fence between the track and spectators before it burst into flames.
All six of the injured were sent to area hospitals to get looked at for lacerations and concussions, and one was airlifted to UT Medical Center in Knoxville with leg injuries that didn't involve broken bones. The driver was able to walk away from the crash.
The speedway said they were thankful no one was badly injured.
