Storm brings snow to Sevier County

It's feeling a lot more like winter than spring.

SEVIER COUNTY — Mother nature seems confused. There's nothing like a beautiful coating of snow to let know that winter is finally over, at least the calendar says so.

"It's cold!" said Nathan Watson as he tossed a snowball around in his hands.

He and his family were visiting Sevier County from Florida when the storm hit.

"Really, believe it or not, we were hoping that it would snow," said Nathan's father Tim. "We love the weather! We love the sunny Florida weather, but we love the snowy weather in the mountains."

Rebecca Mullins and her mother were visiting from Georgia. They wanted to experience everything Gatlinburg has to offer and found themselves on the coldest way down the mountain.

"We took the chairlift. I can't feel the tops of my legs," Mullins said. "Near the bottom it's not super windy but as you get closer to the top it gets extremely windy."

On the second day of Spring, the weather certainly felt more like winter.
