UPDATE: KCSO says missing toddler has been found with a few cuts, scratches

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says the missing toddler has now been found safe.

UPDATE 7:17 p.m.: Knox County Sheriff's Office says the missing 3-year-old boy in Corryton has been found safe.

Deputies say he was transported to East Tennessee Children's Hospital as a precaution as he was found with a few cuts and scratches.

The toddler was reported missing around 3:45 p.m. Campbell County Sheriff's Office and Union County Sheriff's Office provided K-9 officers to assist in the search.

Deputies say according to the initial reports, the boy was playing with two older children and ran into a heavily wooded area. Authorities found him in the back of 8314 Coppock Road.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

PREVIOUS: The Union County Sheriff's Office confirmed it has K-9s helping Knox County Sheriff's Office search for a toddler reported missing as of Sunday evening.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies and other first responders are searching for that toddler possibly in the Gibbs area off Thompson School Road.

It is unknown the exact age of the toddler and where that search area reaches at this time.
