Vonore Police Chief Randy Kirkland passed away Friday evening, according to a post made by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
The post said: "We are asking for prayers for Vonore Police Chief Randy Kirkland's family. Randy passed away earlier this evening and words cannot describe how much he will be missed, or how much he has contributed to our community. Rest In Peace Chief Kirkland."
