A lucky duck was plucked from peril in northern Kentucky.
The duck's wings and torso were frozen to the ice covering a community pond in Georgetown.
Scott County deputy Jeb Barnes crossed the ice and gently removed the duck from the ice.
He took his feathered friend to animal control to thaw out.
