Young-Williams Animal Center is cutting adoption fees in half for cats of all ages this weekend.

The shelter is reducing the adoption prices for kittens to $75; adult and senior cats are $30. The price reductions began Thursday, Aug. 28 and will last through Monday, Sept. 1.

Every adopted animal will get services covered the normal fees: physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, some standard vaccinations, a microchip with registration.

Young-Williams CEO Jeff Ashim said they're offering the deals because there are too many cats at the shelter.

"For the first time this summer, the shelter is overflowing with cats that so deserve loving homes and families," said Ashim in a release. "Because intake is on the rise, we're cutting fees to encourage adoptions. All of the cats have great personalities and will be wonderful additions to your home."
