Country duo Florida Georgia Line is targeting an early summer opening for their new restaurant, bar and entertainment venue planned for downtown Nashville.
FGL House will occupy the four-story, 22,000-square-foot building at 122 Third Ave. S. in the area south of Broadway. A rooftop was just added to that building, which houses the Big Machine clothing store that's linked to the duo's record label.
The restaurant, bar and entertainment venue is a partnership between the country duo and an entity called LRC Group. With the opening, Florida Georgia Line would join Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley and John Rich as country stars expanding their brands through bars and other venues on Lower Broadway.
"It was a cool opportunity in our hometown here in Nashville that we love — a place we could call our own and gather with our friends, our family and our fans and create a cool environment where people can make great memories," said Tyler Hubbard, a member of the multi-platinum duo along with Brian Kelley.
FGL House will feature live music daily and what's billed as the largest "Cruise" rooftop with views of downtown's skyline. The kitchen will offer Southern style cuisine with a California flair. Bars on each of the four floors will serve local craft beers and mixed cocktails — many featuring the duo’s own Old Camp Whiskey.
A basement-level lounge with a baby grand piano will offer a cocktail menu inspired by ‘90s pop culture and specialty martinis. A large video wall will showcase music videos by Florida Georgia Line and other country stars along with sporting events. Internationally renowned Dee Jay Silver will spin custom country mixes during can’t-miss Country Club Tuesdays at FGL House.
"What excites Tyler and I the most is always staying creative," Kelley said about he and Hubbard in prepared a statement. "We love seeing what fresh things we can come up with to take our music to a new level and turn our dreams into reality. We want FGL House to be just as welcoming, fun and entertaining for our guests as if they were coming out to one of our shows — nothing but good food, good drinks and good times! We can’t wait for opening day to get here!”
