Butch Jones is a wide receivers coach by trade, and he's defaulted into that mode quite often during his fifth spring practice as Tennessee's head coach.

In individual periods, Jones, who coached receivers at Central Michigan and West Virginia during his days as an assistant coach, often doesn't stray too far from the Vols' young receiving corps.

Tennessee will have eight first- or second-year wideouts when the three freshmen arrive on campus in the summer, and the position is further thinned by the spring absences of Brandon Johnson and Josh Smith due to offseason surgeries.
