Four-star junior college offensive lineman Jahmir Johnson announced Wednesday he would play football at Tennessee next season.

Johnson made the announcement via a video link he posted on Twitter. In it, Johnson put on a Tennessee hat and said, "Go Vols!"

According to UT Football's Twitter account, Johnson quietly signed with the Vols earlier in December, but waited to be with his family to make an announcement.

The 6'5, 278-pound Johnson currently plays offensive tackle at Arizona Western College in Yuma, AZ. He chose the Vols over Missouri and Southern California. Johnson had been on official visits to Missouri and Arkansas, as well as his most recent visit to Tennessee on the weekend of Dec. 15.

"I like their vibe, I like their coaches," Johnson told 247Sports of Coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols' staff. "They have a good coaching staff."

Johnson grew up in Philadelphia and started his college career a season ago at Rhode Island.

One of Johnson's teammates, tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson, signed with the Vols exactly one week earlier.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions pegged Tennessee as the clear favorites to land Johnson prior to Wednesday evening's decision.

The Vols have signed 14 players for their 2018 recruiting class thanks to the early signing period, which fell Dec. 20-22.
