A tumultuous week just got a lot tougher for the University of Tennessee.

Butch Jones is seeing former coveted wideout Preston Williams seek to exit the Volunteers' football program, exactly a year-and-a-half into his career on Rocky Top.

A 6-foot-4, 209-pounder from Lovejoy, Ga., who committed to Tennessee on the heels of the Vols' 2013 loss at Florida, Williams was a 247Sports five-star recruit and played a year ago as a true freshman despite a gruesome leg injury as a high school senior and also despite missing almost all of training camp a year ago as Williams retook the college entrance exam.
