Gameday activities

Gates to Neyland Stadium open at 10 am.

The Vol Walk will start at 9:45 a.m. on Volunteer Boulevard near Circle Park. The football team will walk down Volunteer Boulevard to Peyton Manning Pass and into the stadium.

The Pride of the Southland Marching Band will begin marching at 10:20 a.m. from the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center on Volunteer Boulevard and will then follow the same path as the Vol Walk. Entertainer Lee Greenwood and Miss Tennessee 2014 Haylee Lewis will lead the band to recognize the recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military honor, along with three medal recipients as well as representatives from the service branches of our nation's armed forces."ban

Fans will have the opportunity to express their appreciation for our country's men and women in uniform by signing and writing messages of appreciation on an 8 foot-by-20 foot banner that reads "Thank You Military" and includes the five logos of the branches of the military. The banner will be set up outside Gate 21 at Neyland Stadium.

The Toyota Volunteer Village will be open on the lawn of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building at 8:30 a.m. The Village offers food and pregame festivities for fans of all ages.

Parking and Traffic

Due to campus construction, fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Only fans with permits can park on campus. UT encourages others to use shuttle buses from the Old City, the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and Krutch Park, near Market Square in downtown Knoxville, and Farragut High School.

Phillip Fulmer Way will close to through traffic from Middle Drive to Tee Martin Drive three hours before kickoff.

Fans with parking permits for Staff Lots 4 and 5 must enter Phillip Fulmer Way via Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Those with permits for Staff Lots 9 and 30A must enter Phillip Fulmer Way either from Cumberland Avenue or from Peyton Manning Pass.

Thirty minutes before kickoff, the remainder of Phillip Fulmer Way as well as Peyton Manning Pass, Middle and Lower Drives and Estabrook Drive will close to vehicles. For an interactive campus map, visit

What's not allowed in Neyland Stadium

  • no backpacks of any kind or size are allowed inside Neyland Stadium.
  • purses or other bags larger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches cannot be brought into the stadium.
  • alcoholic beverages, cans, bottles or coolers
  • weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
  • stadium seats with arms
  • video cameras
  • radios without headphones
  • open umbrellas
  • strollers

What is allowed in Neyland Stadium

  • cushions and seats without arms
  • small diaper bags that accompany infants
  • small cameras, pagers, cell phones and binoculars
  • All items, including purses, are subject to search at the gates

Other gameday warnings

Smoking is not allowed in Neyland Stadium. If fans leave to smoke, they will not be readmitted.

Scalping is not allowed in front of Neyland Stadium from Middle Way Drive to Gate 10 starting four hours before kickoff and until the game ends.

A no-fly zone extends over the stadium from one hour before the game until one hour after it ends, prohibiting flights within a three-nautical-mile radius and lower than 3,000 feet except as authorized by air traffic control. This restriction includes unmanned aerial vehicles such as drone aircraft.
