Vols picked to finish at bottom of SEC

No respect or reality check? The media expects the Vols, under first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt, to have a rough season.

The expectations aren't high.

As the SEC Football Media Days wrapped up in Atlanta, the media cast their votes for how they think the season will turn out. And they're not expecting much from the Vols in Jeremy Pruitt's first season as head coach.

FULL STORY: Vols at SEC Media days

The Vols were picked to finish sixth in the SEC East, just ahead of Vanderbilt.

No surprise--- Alabama was predicted to be crowned the SEC Champion after the championship game in Atlanta. They're also picked to win the west, just ahead of Auburn and Mississippi State.

Georgia is predicted to be best in the east, with South Carolina and Florida picked to finish second and third.

Only six times since 1992 has the predicted champion at SEC Media Days proceeded to win the SEC Championship.

Tennessee offensive linemanTrey Smith was chosen for the first team of the All-SEC team.
