Lady Vols drop to No. 15 in AP Poll

Back-to-back losses saw Tennessee drop in the SEC standings and national poll.

The Tennessee Lady Vols have dropped to their lowest position in the AP Poll all season.

Back-to-back losses have found UT seated at No. 15 in the latest poll. The team was previously at No. 11 in the nation.

Tennessee (21-6, 9-5 SEC) lost Thursday to unranked Alabama, 72-63, the first time the team had ever lost to the Tide in Knoxville. The team then had a tough road loss Sunday to now-No. 11 Missouri, 77-73.

UT now has five teams seeded above it in the Southeastern Conference; Mississippi State, South Carolina, Missouri, LSU, and Georgia all hold better records in league play.

The Lady Vols have two conference games remaining before postseason play begins. They'll play a road game Thursday at Florida, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. ET. The team will return home for the season finale Sunday, Feb. 25, to host No. 8 South Carolina.
